Don’t you love the new edit screen?
Oh My – did you notice the new edit screen yet? If you haven’t go to any lens and click ‘edit’. You will be amazed. I was. The look is totally different. And it saves so much time…
No more going to ‘add module’ to add modules – you can do that right there.
Rearranging modules? same thing – right on the screen.
This will mean I won’t be saving unused modules in my lenses any more. I used to have empty text/write modules just sitting there, waiting to be used – but now I can add them so quickly, it’s no longer necessary.
The best part is the scrolling – or the lack thereof…
I used to scroll endlessly when editing a lens. Scroll to publish. Scroll to add a module. Scroll to go to my dashboard. All that is now stuck on the top of the page, always accessible. Thank you Gil
And what’s going to save me loads of time as well: stats are right there, as well as the health check. Also stuck to the top of the screen, instead of two clicks away.

I agree it looks a lot better.
Mostly though, it seems to work FASTER!
Sometimes it took ages to open or to publish a lens, now it certainly seems to take less time, which is a real bonus.
One odd thing though, the Ping option has gone, but Twitter has been added. Although I have a Twitter account and added it to my profile, it tells me I haven’t set it up yet. Will have to figure that out.

The new Workshop was fun and exciting to use yesterday and I love the way that you can move the modules around right on the same page.
It will take a little getting used to but I am excited to start learning all it’s new possibilities.

Poddys: the ping option was part of the extra functionality through squidutils greasemonkey script. With all the changes, I suppose that script broke.
I’ve been twittering my updates for a while now. Weird that it doesn’t work for you. Did you enter your password correctly?
I just love the changes – so intuitive. I don’t think there is going to be much of a learning curve for most people.

I agree, wonderful changes! Posted my new lens on Hotel for Dogs yesterday and it was a pleasure to work with the new format.
